TSM Gets Positive Praise From Meditation Students
I've been practicing TSM for 32 years daily now. It has made me a stronger, more grounded, more
centered, more authentic human being. Honestly, without it I wouldn't have been able to finish my very
demanding doctoral program. TSM cured issues with burnout and exhaustion. Plus I was able to focus
intensely on my studies. I wrote most of my doctoral thesis during meditation. I just never told my
professors. The thesis was published by the first publisher I sent it to, unchanged. I'm deeply grateful
for TSM.
Mike has been a longtime friend of mine. I must say that he is incredibly knowledgeable in TSM. I have
met many other meditation teachers in the last 30 plus years, and I must say he is one of the most
knowledgeable, competent meditation teachers in the field. Plus he's got a great personality with a
great sense of humor and is a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend him.
– Dr. Regina Moeller Young, author of the Romantic and Transcendental quests of Ralph Waldo Emerson and
Victor-Marie Hugo.
The first time I meditated, I went into a state of extreme peacefulness that I had never experienced
before and this state of quiet peacefulness allowed me to be a successful English teacher to a group of
rebellious 9th grade teenagers. I looked forward to working with them each day after my meditation
initiation because I was now quiet and peaceful inside.
I strongly recommend anyone who is nervous or overwrought with their lives or jobs to get in touch with
Mike Scozzari for a lesson in Transcendental Stress Management. It worked so well for me that I strongly
recommend it to others.
Sincerely, Jim Young - Professor Emeritus, English Department, Weber State University, Ogden, Utah 84408
I have been practicing TSM for 51 years. It seems like only yesterday I recall that lovely Spring day
in 1973 that I was instructed. Little did I know that day, that I was starting a journey that would last
the rest of my life. And TSM has made a lasting a profound impact on my life.
TSM does not involve any effort or concentration. It is simple and effortless. If one can think a
thought, then one can meditate! There is no belief needed, no special set of rules, no diet to follow,
no exercises - nothing! I love that about TSM.
Thinking deeply about this, TSM has made me into a better version of me! And it is so effortless, so
natural it is amazing. All we do is add the simple technique into our daily routine 20 minutes morning
and evening. That's it! And then watch the changes unfold naturally. Life continues as it always does.
There are successes and there are disappointments. Highs and lows, ups and downs.
But somehow TSM has given me the ability to cope with the downs much better than I used to. It has made
me more grounded. I am not overshadowed by life's disappointments. I am much more "even keel".
With the addition of TSM in my life, life is far more stable. My relationships are better. I also see
that my mind is much clearer now. This gives me the ability to establish goals and focus more clearly on
achieving them. TSM addresses that.
Lastly, personal health. So many diseases are rooted in stress. My chronic allergies disappeared and
also my GERD which plagued me for years, just vanished. I don't need any more medication.
For me with TSM life just keeps getting better and better. It is the best choice I ever made!
– Bill Bailey, Washington State
TSM is best described as a simple technique that reboots my being and reminds me to just Be… Infinite
possibilities emerge in a flow of unfoldment. Thru intuitive intention it becomes Out as I witness and
enjoy my life's Purpose with Clarity and Joy.
– R.C., Attorney at law, Miami
TSM has opened my inner sense more than any spiritual practice has done. I'm more at a state of peace
and contentment since beginning this journey.
The term neutrality is how I often experience life now. Before, I frequently experienced fears and
anxiety and when I practice my meditations, those are at a minimal level.
It's been a gift to be introduced to Mike and this practice. I would encourage anyone to give it a try,
change is awaiting.
I began my practice in December 2023.
– Tony W., St. Petersburg
In short, meditation has kept me sane, calm and focused. On the outside, I appeared to be relaxed. On
the inside, my mind was going a million miles per hour. When I started graduate school to study
psychology, I knew I needed something to help me organize my busy life, which was about to become
incrementally busier.
I attended one of Mike's lectures at a local venue in Ft. Lauderdale. My husband is also a meditator
and decided to join me. I liked Mike and was curious to learn more about meditating after meeting him.
I'm not sure how I would have gotten through graduate school while continuing to work full time had I
not
meditated on a daily basis.
The benefits of meditation are cumulative. As a psychotherapist, one of my areas of specialty is
treating anxiety disorders. I have encouraged many clients to learn meditation because of the benefits
they will derive. Meditation reminds me to slow down, breathe and relax. In an increasingly busier and
busier
world, meditation is a welcome relief.
– Claudia Rieman, Ph.D., LMHC/ Psychotherapist, South Florida
Practicing meditation has repeatedly been shown to improve people's attention, as well as improve job
performance, productivity and satisfaction, and to enable better relationships with colleagues, resulting
in a reduction of work-related stress.
– Michael Chaskalson
Meditation also helped me see that my expectations were just stories that I was telling myself about
life. I became free of what life was supposed to be and able to enjoy life as it was.

The ancient art of meditation has been practiced by many cultures for centuries. Meditation is more than
simply deep relaxation it is a life changing practice that can help alleviate stress, anxiety, depression
and bring inner peace.
– Tamia Jaelynn
A most useful approach to meditation practice is to consider it the most important activity of each day.
Schedule it as you would an extremely important appointment, and unfailingly keep your appointment with
the Infinite.
– Roy Eugene Davis
The more regularly and the more deeply you meditate, the sooner you will find yourself acting always
from a center of inner peace.
- J. Donald Walters
If we read the stories of the great spiritual teachers of the past, we find that they have attained
spiritual realization through a great deal of meditation, solitude and practice. They did not take any
shortcuts.
– Rajiv Mehrotra
If we didn't spend so much time reacting to things, we would spend less time feeling bothered. We would
be able to relax in our lives the way our mind relaxes in meditation.
- Angel Williams
Meditation is the dissolution of thoughts in Eternal awareness or Pure consciousness without
objectification, knowing without thinking, merging finitude in infinity.
- Voltaire
I mean the whole thing about meditation and yoga is about connecting to the higher part of yourself, and
then seeing that every living thing is connected in some way.

Meditation is the ultimate mobile device; you can use it anywhere, anytime, unobtrusively.

We try many ways to be awake, but our society still keeps us forgetful. Meditation is to help us
remember.
– Thich Nhat Hanh
Where there is peace and meditation, there is neither anxiety nor doubt.
– St. Francis de

Meditation is another dimension of natural beauty. People talk about appreciating natural beauty –
climbing mountains, seeing giraffes and tigers in Africa, and all sorts of things. But nobody seems to
appreciate this kind of natural beauty of ourselves. This is actually far more beautiful than flora and
fauna, far more fantastic, far more painful and colorful and delightful.
– Chogyam Trungpa
Meditation is bringing the mind home.
– Sogyal Rinpoche
You get peace of mind not by thinking about it or imagining it, but by quietening and relaxing the
restless mind. Your nature is absolute peace. You are not the mind. Silence your mind through
concentration and meditation, and you will discover the peace of the Spirit that you are, and have always
been.
– Remez Sasson
One does not practice meditation to become a great meditator. We meditate to wake up and live, to become
skilled at the art of living.

Multiple Personality Disorder Mystery and TSM Meditation
A Case for Natural Healing
A few years ago I recounted in a thread on Facebook of a personal experience involving one of my meditation
students who had a rare disorder we all know called Multiple Personality Disorder. She called to say she had
just finished reading Deepak Chopra's Quantum Healing. Here Dr. Chopra attempts to explain the
extraordinary findings involving people suffering with multiple personality disorder.
What has fascinated science is the mystery involving those diagnosed with the disorder. A person can be a
diabetic in one personality and when this personality changes to another, their diabetic symptoms often
disappear. So for a person with multiple personality disorder, they could be a diabetic requiring insulin
injections in one personality, and when in another personality, their pancreas appears to function normally
and no injections are needed! Some who had food allergies to strawberries in one personality could eat an
entire bowl in another personality without skin eruptions or other allergenic reactions.
TSM Meditation Training Results In Unexpected Improvements
Nancy was 36, married with one son. Her Multiple Personality Disorder required she get help from both a
psychiatrist (MD) and psychotherapist. She was unable to work even though she had a masters from UC Berkley
in Biology. Her disorder, she explained, included at least 4 different personalities. One was allergic to
strawberries, the others were not, one liked to shoplift and wore racy dresses. When she was arrested for
shoplifting, her psychiatrist explained to the court how Nancy was unaware of the crime she committed
because this personality was part of a collection of separate and specific personalities. The judge, in a
serious but lighthearted attempt to be fair, asked the psychiatrist, "OK but who do I assign the penalty of
community service to?"
This is where Nancy and I met up for her meditation instruction in Florida. Another couple signed up for
the class and joined us. They were unaware of Nancy's unique condition. It is estimated that only 1 in 10
million have been diagnosed as multiples. Most psychiatrists believe it to a break within the component
parts that make up one’s primary or host personality.
Within two days after instruction in TSM Meditation Nancy announced to our group, "When we meditate we all
go to the same place to think". Now, this might not seem like much, but WE! She explained further: "When I
find myself in deep meditation, all of my personalities stop trying to emerge and take over. For the first
time I am in a place where I love myself and this is a first in memory for me". The others sitting nearby
were briefed about Nancy’s problem. Until then they were clueless.
Over the next few days Nancy reported how she was able to sleep through the night without violent
nightmares. Her husband confirmed this for us. I suspect true healing had begun.
A year later I was giving a public talk at a Barnes and Noble nearby. A woman approached me afterwards to
say she was Nancy’s psychotherapist. She explained what a huge benefit meditation had provided for Nancy,
that she was free of prescribed medication and was now responding to conventional psychological treatment.
Her final comment was that she regretted not doing a case study worthy of publication. According to her,
Nancy was healing from within and everything else was starting to fall into place.
What is personality? How is it created and maintained? Where is it's basis in the functioning of both mind
and body? For me Deepak Chopra provides the best answer. We heal from wholeness of life. Consciousness
creates personality. Meditation practice creates the conditions for natural healing by connecting us with
the ultimate healer - the Self. - Mike Scozzari, Certified TSM Instructor
The Value of Direct Experience
About 10 years ago I had the pleasure of teaching the TSM Meditation Course to a woman who had just taken
early retirement from the U.S. Military. She worked for 20 years in the capacity of an officer and lawyer
and was burned out after dealing with all the tragedy, legal maneuvering and mistreatment of women. She was
ready for a change, overdue for healing and generally ready to begin anew.
After explaining the benefits of the technique, we began with the interview portion of the course. There
are only 4 lessons after that. I discovered my student had a masters degree in western philosophy. She
explained that her heart was always in philosophy but she gave in to family pressures and pursued law and
criminal justice.
Her meditation course was completed in less than a week. She had all the 6 symptoms of correct meditation
practice, everything a meditation coach would look for.
It was time for me to tell her about the goal of the practice, development of consciousness. I began with
an explanation of the known states - waking, sleeping and dreaming. Suddenly she became very confused. "I
thought this method of meditation was about deep rest and release of stress”. "Yes, that’s true” I
commented. "But there is more to it than deep rest, much more.”
I explained that deep meditation enables us to enter into finer and finer states of awareness, where the
thoughts drop off and one experiences pure consciousness. Over time the meditator gains self-realization, a
state of consciousness different from ordinary waking, sleeping and dreaming. She asked, "Are you saying
that it is possible to experience consciousness, the state discussed in my philosophy textbooks? Is that a
real state of consciousness? I never thought those writings had any merit. Did the philosophers of old
actually know such things were possible?”
Not only did the ancients know that state from direct experience, they recorded their experiences in text
form and passed it on for all to enjoy. For someone who was told such knowledge was only for intellectual
discussion, not something to be experienced, it came as a total shock to her that it could be an
experiential reality. She lit up like a light. The ancient teaching now had real meaning to her. Now her
studies could be a foundation for the discoveries that lie ahead. It was a very rewarding course for both
teacher and student. The value of the technique is always in the direct experience of deep meditation. -

What Our Students Say
I don't get headaches or migraines anymore. I don't have insomnia, like at all, and actually fall
asleep easily now. I am also less stressed out. Just these few things that I benefited from made it worth
it. I do enjoy the community and ritual aspects of the meditation, but as a 'technique', which sounds like
such an overly pragmatic label, the 'technique' worked! I was not expecting to lose my headaches or fall
asleep easier either. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to lose the bad things in their life. -
Monica J., Palm Beach
My relationship with TSM began one month ago. To say it's been a positive change in my life would
be a poor description of its value. It's worth more than that. It's sustenance. It's the doorway through
which you meet yourself. It's a reintroduction. Reorientation with the world. It's what I've been looking
for but didn't know existed. - Maria S., Bogota
I learned TSM Meditation from Mike Scozzari at the center in Deerfield Beach and have been
practicing for a year. My life is getting better by the day. I especially enjoy the group meditations every
other Tuesday. - Diane B.., Coconut Creek
People always ask me when I tell them that I attend a group meditation every other Tuesday, "does
it really work?" I explain that, in my experience, it's not something that requires belief to reap its
benefits. It is a practice, like any other. It shows me what it feels like to be conscious of my thoughts
that may be distracting me from my initial focus. So, with that discipline, I’m able to identify and stop a
pesky thought before it habitually steals the only commodity we have as humans, my attention. - Laura
S., Boynton Beach
I took the entire course on the internet via Skype and had my teenage boys learn 6 months later. I
am a medical doctor working in London with stress and fatigue my constant companions. To have this technique
is to sit almost anywhere and just relax, let go of stress and be ready for action. It’s just a wonderful
way to improve while deeply resting, often even deeper than sleep. I recommend it to all my patients,
colleagues and friends. The course is easy and very complete. - Dr. Alex R., London
As a longtime meditation student practicing TSM, I love going to this center for day-long monthly
gatherings, Rejuvenation Day. There's a cozy, friendly neighborhood vibe and I enjoy seeing some of the same
people every month as well as meeting new fellow meditators. The instructors are all warm, engaging and very
knowledgeable. I enjoy the advanced lectures/videos with discussions and the interesting guest lectures on
Ayurveda, higher states of consciousness, etc that they sometimes host. I always leave feeling uplifted and
happy to have connected with a community of meditators. - Lewis B., Miami
I joined TSM about 3 and half months now and I'm incredibly grateful and happy with the results in
my life. As many things in life, good things take time and it took me a few months to start noticing results
myself and people pointing them out to me. However, it's been a great journey. - Leslie M.,
Plantation
I took the Advanced Meditation Course Dr. Mahapatra. It was like installing a rocket engine on a
propeller plane! You go deep and awaken to how nice it is. I will be taking another technique when Dr.
Mahapatra returns again. Meditation continues to improve and each technique is there to help. Thank you Mike
and Maria for bringing him to South Florida. We are always growing and improving. - Dean R.., Coral
Springs
I began the TSM in March at this location after attending the free introductory session a month
before. This program is life changing and above all life enhancing! I highly recommend to anyone who is a
human being as it is a great (and easy) way to get back in touch with your inner Self. If you live in south
Florida you know how crazy this town can be, and centering yourself and getting back in touch with your
essential true nature is of paramount importance! - Lisa G., Miami
I had my first one on one check in/followup with Mike last week and both him and his wife Maria
are incredibly supportive and approachable at any time. You really feel the warmth and hospitality that
radiates from this place and within all the teachers. For me Mike is an incredible mentor, full of answers
to all my questions, not just about TSM but about life and spirituality in general. I love our one on ones
as I feel I have a home base to come back to whenever I am feeling confused about my spiritual journey. -
Bill S., Deerfield Beach
The great thing about this program is how supportive it is. The follow-ups are as great, if not
better than the actual course. The program is very supportive and is not just about getting your money,
learning the technique and off you go. The teachers keep in contact with you via email, insist you come back
to check up on your progress 10 days after, a month after, etc. I learned something new after every
follow-up session. I learned the stages that my mind goes into as I meditate, which was helpful to know
after I did it for a little while and can better understand what they were talking about. - Stuart G.,
Boca Raton
I took a course on meditation years ago and meditated at numerous places including at a smelly
yoga commune and the Zen Center in San Francisco. It was worthwhile but I would get lazy and was never able
to hold onto the practice for too long. WithTSM Meditation, I am still in disbelief that I actually can hold
onto it. It's easier to do than any other form of meditation I've come across. - Ana Maria D., Pembroke
Pines
TSM is a life changer! If you are looking for relaxation, creativity, and overall better health
this is for you. - Linda W., Aventura
My life is significantly better than it was a month ago because I am significantly better. TSM
allowed for that potential to realize. My cynicism had always led me away from meditation. As a practice, it
seemed like a good idea, but I wanted nothing to do with the culture and ideology I thought came attached.
TSM assumes nothing and requires little. No Ohms, no Source, no crossed legs or heavy panting. It's beauty
lies in its simplicity. I'll say nothing more of the practice, you should do yourself a favor and go to an
open house. - Edward P., Jupiter
I began TSM over the summer. The joy and peace it has brought to my life has been incredible. I
highly recommend this technique to everyone and have been working to get my friends and family involved. The
instructors, Mike and Dr. Mahapatra are wonderful and very comforting. I attended their weekend retreat in
Naples and it was fantastic! - Jana R., Miami Beach
My boyfriend and I have always wanted to try TSM. After reviewing their website, tsmforlife.com,
we signed up at their class offered on Miami Beach and are so glad that we did! The instructors are so
knowledgeable and friendly. Through their instruction, they have helped us incorporate TSM seamlessly into
our daily lives. It has made such a positive difference...less anxiety/stress, less headaches, more
productivity and a more positive outlook! I highly recommend TSM for people looking to make a positive
change in their lives. - Nohora C., Pinecrest
I came to TSM after many years, literally years, struggling with having a meditation that I was
not either fighting, or just feeling unsuccessful with. TSM IS the answer to this. It incorporates
effortlessly into what is, and all that needs to be, and takes off ALL the pressure of what meditation
'might' be. The crew at this TSM center is marvelous. They are clear in their approach, and deeply
supportive in their follow ups which are all built into the TSM method. I feel still that I can contact any
of them any time and get support for my practice. And the results: my everyday life is becoming clearer,
stronger and more powerful. I'm discovering many amazing experiences. GO! - Paul B., Naples, Fl.
TSM has truly changed my life for the better, to an extent I can only fathom now that I am living
it... Very thankful to be able to continue this practice and have the support of my nearby instructors. I
love this center for how accessible the instructors are. Even after your initial lesson they are always
willing to put time aside to see you, and check up. -Madelen A., Margate
I have always been curious about meditation and when I found out a TSM center was opening in my
neighborhood, I set up an introductory meeting with Mike and his wife Maria. I was impressed by their
passion in this wonderful technique and more that that I could see that both of them embodied the benefits
of TSM - relaxed, peaceful - enthusiastic. I took the course with Mike, who has been practicing TSM since he
was 21 years old. My wife and ten year old son also took the course and we all practice TSM now. More than
anything I've gained clarity in the few months I've practiced TSM. I highly recommend it. Do your own
research or contact the center for an introduction. you won’t be sorry. - Joan G., Boca Raton
The method is simple and easy. The instructors are awesome people who are always willing to answer
questions. The practice of TSM has helped me become more calm & focused. Life seems easier. THIS IS NOT A
CULT! When I was exploring TSM, a few of my friends warned me that it was a cult & they will take all of my
money. NOT TRUE. There is a fee to learn but that's it unless you go for advanced techniques. There is no
pressure so if you're considering it, go into an intro meeting and ask all of your questions. They'll
happily answer them. One of the best things I've done for myself. - Jessica F., West Palm Beach,
Fl.
Meditation is a daily must for me. I can't really think of anything better than experiencing pure
being again and again. Such inner stillness, peace and bliss draws me over and over. Knowing this is my true
divine state is huge and that this exists in everyone and all is a game changer. -SK,. Davie, Fl.
